Robin Heslop
Civil Litigation

After graduating from the London School of Economics, Robin started his practical training under Hugh Skemp (one of the three original partners in the firm). He qualified in 1969 and was made an equity partner in the firm two years later. He was the Head of Civil Litigation and Senior Partner of the practice until 2010.

Robin has specialised in Civil Litigation for most of his career. That specialism covers a wide range of work, including Commercial disputes, Personal Injury and Accident claims, Professional Negligence and Contentious Probate. Because he often deals with the problems that arise if proper wills are not in place, he also acts for clients in making their wills.

He considers it an essential part of his work to advise private individuals and business clients on potentially contentious issues and problems - with a view to resolving them well before litigation threatens.

Robin was Senior and Managing Partner of the firm from 2001 to 2010. He remains with the firm as a Consultant, retaining his links with existing clients - and welcoming new ones.
