If you and your spouse have a family then it is vital that you work out between you the best way to look after the needs of your children as you seperate. It is the expectation of the legal system that you will do so, and that the needs of your children are, and always will be, your priority.
If you do not sort these matters out then the legal system will help you do so by a process by which there will be an independent assessment of the best interests of your children. The involvement of the Courts, and CAFCASS is intrusive upon your family. If it is possible to resolve matters between the two of you, then it is best for all of you that you do so as soon as possible, and before you consider any other issue arising from you seperation. |
